This piece was inspired by a photograph of a wave-dissipating concrete tetrapod that landed in a tunnel, swept away by a severe storm. The tetrapod in the photo looked as if it had been displaced from its origin. 

The fish lying in the front was also inspired by photographs of dead fish on blacktop roads, brought out from the sea by the storm. The tetrapod looks at the fish in horror, as they were both displaced from the same homeland.
